While away the time at our stunning trout fishery in the heart of North Kent
Millan Waters is a trout fishery situated in North Kent near the village of Iwade, close to the Isle of Sheppey and within easy reach of the A249, M20 and M2.
The fishery’s lake is between 6 and 7 acres and enjoys excellent water quality throughout the season. The syndicate is a "members only" water (limited member guest tickets are available by prior agreement) and no fishing is available to the general public.
This trout fishing syndicate has been in existence for many years and has a very loyal membership. There is an abundance of bushes and trees around the lake itself which provides prolific insect life throughout the season. Depths vary but a highlight is a deep channel which provides cooler water in the summer months when water temperatures rise which often causes problems at other fisheries.

Beautiful waters with a variety of trout to catch
Regular stockings are made consisting of Rainbow, Brown, Blue and Spotted/Speckled Trout creating a unique fly fishing facility in this area. Rainbows and Browns are stocked into double figures with the current fishery records standing at 21lb 10oz and 15lb 2oz respectively. All Browns, Blues and Spotted/Speckled Trout are strictly “Catch and Release” only.
Catch and Release is widely practised by the membership and full details regarding allowances in respect of trout that can be killed and taken and those fish which are strictly "Catch and Release" only are contained in our rules.
A long standing member of our fishery’s syndicate, Bob Goble, is a licensed game angling instructor who can be booked at a cost to provide friendly, relaxed tuition for beginners and improvers on a one to one basis. Bob can be contacted on:

Enjoy our frequent news and returns updates
Members will receive a monthly news update advising all returns for the month and other relevant information about the fishery. This will be communicated by email from the Fishery Manager to each members contact email address.
The fishery has its own car park, Returns Hut and two containers which house several small boats for members use if fishing afloat is desirable. There are a number of mooring buoys on the fishery’s lake that can be used . Boats are used at your own risk. Fishing platforms are well established around the lake and members can enjoy 11 and ½ months of fishing under a season subscription, with no restriction on the number of visits they can make in a season.
We hold our AGM each January in the Woolpack in Iwade, Kent, where members can raise any issues they have. Following the presentation of our trophies a buffet is provided for all members and any guests.
It's easy to join our members only fishery
There is a joining fee payable on application, currently £100.00. A season subscription is currently £360.00, but both of these figures are reviewed towards the end of each season taking into consideration the cost of renting the lake, the cost of trout, anticipated stocking requirements and other syndicate running costs. A "commitment" discount is usually made in respect of the next season subscription.
A visit to the lake prior to commitment for membership can be arranged at a mutually agreeable time. Please peruse our Gallery to ascertain what to anticipate and contact Gordon Dickson, Fishery Manager for more details. We still have some places available for the 2020/2021 season.
